Summer Students
Rice students may be eligible to apply for additional federal loan funds. To verify your eligibility, please consult with your financial aid counselor. You may also choose to take out a private educational loan, in which case you can select your lender and apply directly with the institution.
Tuition for 2009 Summer School:
Rice Undergraduate Students: $1,186 per credit hour
Rice Graduate Students: $1,600 per credit hour
Visiting/Class III Students: $1,186 per credit hour
Fees for 2009 Summer School:
Application Fee (for Visiting/Class III students only): $75 nonrefundable*
Late Application Fee (for Visiting/Class III students after deadline): $150 nonrefundable
Late Registration Fee (for all students after deadline): $150 nonrefundable
Recreation Center Fee (for Visiting/Class III students only): $60
*** Please note: There is a $30 charge for any check returned for insufficient funds.
Loan Limits for Summer Sessions:
Early Session: Tuition costs only
General Session: Tuition costs plus $2,000 expense allowance
Graduate Research: Tuition costs plus $4,500 expense allowance
Summer Study Abroad: Program costs as determined by the International Programs Office
