*Freshmen are also charged a $330 Orientation Week fee. If the student stays on campus during orientation, then there is also a $350 room and board Fee. In addition, students are required to maintain health insurance coverage while enrolled. The Rice Student Health Insurance Plan is not included in the standard Cost of Attendance and is a separate, billable cost if the student cannot demonstrate coverage by a comparable insurance plan.
