*Living expenses (housing and food) are based on a full time, degree seeking student who is living on-campus or off-campus (not with family). If your cost of attendance is reduced (due to living at home or for another reason), your financial aid may also be reduced. Please contact us if you have questions.

**Freshmen are also billed a $340 Orientation Week fee. If the student stays on campus during orientation, then there is also a $470 housing and meals fee. In addition, students are required to maintain health insurance coverage while enrolled. International freshmen are also billed $395 for Undergraduate International Orientation.

***The Rice Student Health Insurance Plan is not included in the standard Cost of Attendance and is a separate, billable cost if the student cannot demonstrate coverage by a comparable insurance plan.
