MyinTuition - Calculate your cost in 3 minutes

This simple calculator is designed to help you see the affordability of a Rice education. It is based on six questions about your family’s income and assets. A range of potential financial aid amounts are presented as a starting point for a discussion about financing your Rice education.

What you'll need to begin:

  • Personal and household information
  • Family’s total annual income (before taxes)
  • Family’s assets (including bank balances and mortgage)

Net Price Calculator

The Net Price Calculator provides a more in-depth estimate of your need-based financial aid eligibility to help show you the affordability of a Rice education. The estimate provided using this calculator does not represent a final determination, actual award of financial assistance, or a final net price. It is an estimate based on:

  • The cost of attendance
  • Our current financial aid policies and initiatives
  • A needs analysis conducted from income, asset and household information

The cost of attendance and financial aid availability changes year to year. Income, asset and household information may be manipulated in the calculator in order to gauge possible future aid eligibility to better prepare for your four-year commitment if you are expecting changes in your situation. Results are as accurate as the information provided.

The estimates shall not be binding on the secretary of education, Rice University or the state of Texas. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and CSS Profile and submit the necessary income and tax documents in order to be eligible for and receive a financial aid award each year.
